Canadian Environmental Organizations Supporting the Planet (And How You Can Help Them)

If you’re like the members of Team Noorish, each coming Earth Day brings that sense of wanting to honour and help our planet by aligning our choices with a deeper sense of intentional action.

You’ve read us talk a lot about nourishing our bodies and spirits, but to do that, we need to keep Mother Nature nourished as well, as she is the one who truly sustains us.

In recognition of Earth Day and our planet every day, here are some of the most inspiring Canadian environmental organizations that are walking the walk and talking the talk when it comes to climate and green-focused action across the country. We hope these organizations inspire you to take action too!

Evergreen

Evergreen is helping Canadian cities bring people and nature back together among the concrete jungles and endless tower developments.

Each of their projects focuses on transforming public spaces into accessible, green, climate-ready properties, improving biodiversity, defending against natural disasters, and encouraging social connections, plus human physical and mental health.

Their work with school gardens, green infrastructure and the beautiful Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto shows that climate resilience and connection to nature can go hand in hand, even when living an urban life.

How You Can Get Involved

You can volunteer, donate, start a fundraiser, shop their gift catalogue, and so much more.

For kids who could use a little more nature in their lives, they offer day camps, kids’ clubs, school visits, and weekend nature play at their Toronto Brick Works location.
